The visual art program takes an interdisciplinary approach to learning and teaching. Students are not only learning valuable art techniques and skills, but also how art relates to the world around them and to their core subjects. Each unit allows students to explore themes based on various cultures and different periods of art making.
At St. Andrew’s a student will never mimic a famous artwork, but rather understand how an artist’s idea can produce new and unique ways of creating and viewing art. Students are encouraged to think creatively and critically, sharing their own ideas with the entire class.
Students also have an opportunity to participate in Art Club. Art students also have the chance to participate in both the Drama Performance and Music Concerts.
